Nunclara is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Eric Adams.
Nunclara ("Nunclara," "we," "us," or "our") provides AI-powered phone answering and call triage services to home-service trade businesses ("Contractors" or "Customers"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when Contractors use our service, and when their callers ("Callers") interact with our AI phone agent on a Contractor's behalf.
This policy applies to nunclara.com, the Nunclara client portal, and the phone-answering service itself. It does not apply to third-party sites we may link to.
1. Who this policy covers
There are two categories of people whose information we handle:
- Contractors — the businesses that sign up for Nunclara. We have a direct relationship with Contractors, who agree to our Terms of Service.
- Callers — the Contractor's own customers, who call the Contractor's business line and are answered by our AI agent. We process Caller information as a service provider acting on the Contractor's instructions, not as an independent party contracting with the Caller.
If you are a Caller and have questions about how your call was handled, your first point of contact should be the Contractor you called — Nunclara acts on their behalf.
2. Information we collect
From Contractors (account holders)
- Account and business information: name, business name, email, phone, address, service area, business hours
- Billing information, processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
- Agent configuration: greeting scripts, escalation rules, voice selection
- Team member information for portal users you invite (name, email, role)
From Callers (via the AI phone agent)
- Call metadata: caller phone number, date, time, and duration of the call
- Call audio recordings
- Call transcripts (text generated from the recording)
- Information the caller provides during the call: name, address, description of the issue, and anything else volunteered in conversation
- Outcome data generated by the agent: call classification (e.g., booked, urgent, message), summary, and any job or scheduling information created from the call
Automatically collected (portal and website)
- Log data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, timestamps

3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Operate the AI phone agent: answer calls, route escalations, generate transcripts and summaries, and surface call data in the Contractor's portal
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Nunclara service
- Bill Contractors for the service via Stripe
- Send service notifications (e.g., urgent call alerts) and account communications
- Detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use Caller information to advertise to Callers, sell Caller data, or build Caller profiles for any purpose unrelated to answering their call to the Contractor.
4. Call recording and consent
Our AI agent records and transcribes inbound calls on behalf of the Contractor for quality, dispute-resolution, and service-delivery purposes. See our Call Recording Disclosure for the specifics of how consent is handled by state, and the disclosure language played on calls where required.
Contractors are responsible for ensuring their own use of call recording complies with the law in the states where they operate, including obtaining any additional consent required beyond the disclosure Nunclara provides on the call itself.
5. SMS Communications
If you opt in to receive text message alerts from Nunclara, we will send you SMS notifications when a call to your business is flagged as urgent. Message frequency varies based on call volume. Message and data rates may apply. We do not sell or share your mobile phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or by disabling SMS alerts in your account settings. Reply HELP for assistance.
6. How we share information
We share information with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract, including:
- Bland AI — powers the AI voice agent, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech processing during calls
- Stripe — processes Contractor billing and payment information
- Our hosting provider, for storage of call data and portal infrastructure
- The Contractor, who receives call recordings, transcripts, and summaries for calls made to their business line — this is the core function of the service
- Law enforcement or regulators, if required by valid legal process
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy or a materially similar one
We do not sell personal information, as that term is defined under applicable state privacy law.
7. Data storage and security
Call data, transcripts, and account data are stored on infrastructure we control, including a dedicated cloud server. Call recordings are encrypted at rest. Access to Caller and Contractor data is restricted to personnel and systems that need it to operate the service.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify affected Contractors and, where required by law, affected individuals and regulators, within the timeframe required by applicable law.
8. Data retention
- Call recordings and transcripts are retained for 12 months from the date of the call, unless the Contractor requests earlier deletion or a longer period is required for a specific dispute or legal obligation.
- Account data is retained for the duration of the Contractor's account and for a reasonable period after closure for legal, billing, and audit purposes.
- Contractors may request export or deletion of their call data by contacting [email protected], subject to legal retention requirements.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing.
- Contractors can exercise these rights directly through the portal or by contacting [email protected].
- Callers should generally direct requests to the Contractor they called, since Nunclara processes Caller data on the Contractor's instructions. We will assist Contractors in responding to verified Caller requests.
We will respond to verifiable requests within the time required by applicable law.
10. Children's privacy
Nunclara is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant age threshold in your jurisdiction) through our website or portal. If a Caller who is a minor is incidentally recorded during a call to a Contractor's business line, that data is handled the same as any other call data under this policy and is not used for any purpose beyond the Contractor's service delivery.
11. International users
Nunclara is designed for use by contractors operating in the United States. If you access our service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify Contractors by email or through the portal before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
